The Grocer New Product and Packaging Awards has become the symbol of innovation in the UK FMCG sector, and this glittering event, will be held on Friday 8th November in London, where we will hear the latest and greatest innovations that have hit the shelves in the past 18 months.

The event will recognise every shortlisted entry's excellence, awarding a gold, silver or bronze medal in recognition of efforts to bring excitement and difference to grocery aisles.

Not only that, packaging innovation is also celebrated through 10 additional awards which include Eco Pack of the Year, Innovative Pack of the Year and Label & Pack Design of the Year.

This project in particular was one of my all-time favourites. Developing a chocolate bar is as much about restraint as it is expression! The shoppers’ needs must never be forgotten, else a path of elitism, self-congratulation or hubris will out, and the bar won’t sell! The shopper wants to have a fantastic time, all other objectives pale to insignificance!
