Rosamund Heathcote founded Borough Broth in 2015, borrowing £6,000 to rent a small East London kitchen and making every batch of organic bone broth from scratch. What started as a one-woman operation has grown into one of the UK's most recognised organic food brands, built on a simple belief: that slow-cooked, organic food should be accessible to everyone.
Soil Association certified since launch, Borough Broth is now stocked at Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Tesco, Ocado, and Planet Organic, holds multiple Great Taste Awards, and has grown from that original kitchen into a full production and warehousing operation with a team of over 50 people. The range has expanded well beyond the original broth, now spanning organic bone broths, noodle soup bases, and frozen bone broth cubes.
Borough Broth was built on four principles: organic ingredients, honest cooking, sustainable eating, and food that is genuinely delicious. Nearly a decade on, none of that has changed.
